Neighborhood

The Taconic region in New York lies between the Hudson Valley and the Berkshires, bordered by Connecticut to the south and Massachusetts to the north. It’s made up of 20 townships, each with its own unique history and charm. Whether you’re looking to hike, bike, swim, or ski, you’ll find plenty of outdoor activities throughout the region, plus you'll have easy access to world-class dining, wineries, distilleries, and historic sites in the Hudson Valley.

Guest Access

Guests have full access to the entire house and the surrounding grounds.

Good to know

Surrounded by lush greenery, this home is designed for indoor/outdoor entertainment while enjoying full privacy and the surrounding natural zen garden. Cook an organic meal in our fully equipped kitchen or grill outside on the covered deck while sipping your favorite wine (perhaps from a winery next-door) while listening to the birds and enjoying the panoramic views.

Other Details to Note

Please note the access to the property is by a paved but long and somewhat steep driveway best suitable for SUV type vehicles. If you do drive a sedan that sits low to the ground I would advise you to be cautious driving up the hill and assess the conditions carefully. There is a small area off the right side closer to the property where you could park the vehicle and walk a few feet to the home should you find the last portion of the road challenging. Once you reach the top of the hill the private and peaceful setting will make it all worth it.

The charming cottage and grounds were perfect for our quiet retreat in a beautiful, private, and natural setting. The cottage is tastefully remodeled with obvious loving care displayed in the elegant simplicity. We enjoyed every aspect of each well thought-out and tastefully furnished room. The cottage was spotless and fully supplied. The many large windows provide a feeling of spaciousness that brings the outdoors indoors. The large covered deck provides an appealing outdoor living area. The large and artfully designed kitchen window takes maximum advantage of the mountain-top view. The large rolling grounds are kept in a very natural setting encouraging you to stroll out to the pond or sit and watch the birds and deer enjoy the surrounding forest. The hosts were very communicative, responsive, and pleasant to deal with. The day of our arrival, they suggested an SUV to deal with the very steep paved driveway, just in time for us to switch our rental car to an SUV which worked well.

Lovely home in beautiful surroundings. Very private, but only a few minutes to a good grocery store. Natural beauty surrounds the house and lots of windows to enjoy the views. Tranquil and relaxing environment. Clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
